Unfortunately, not everyone shares our passion for vending machines, which is completely understandable. Vending machines are the unsung heroes of the workplace, but we were intrigued to explore beyond the realms of snacks and coffee to see how they were used around the world.
Vending The Rules
For example, did you know that a machine in China dispenses live crabs, in an edible container and with vinegar and ginger tea? Or that it was possible to receive a freshly baked 9″ pizza in just 3 minutes?
Novelty factor aside, vending machines are changing the way we live our lives. Bike dispensers have already found their way to the UK, but in other parts of the world it’s possible to rent electric car from a giant vending machine for $3 per hour. Due to how well received these could very well become common place in the not so distant future.
